Box 11

In any subculture that I choose to explore my race and gender would be the two biggest factors. The subculture that I'm choosing to explore is Students for Life, an organization that is compiled of students that discuss the right to life and sustaining the human race. Being that I am an African-American female at my age it would not be uncommon for someone to look at me and think that I come from a low class family and don't have many values. And with this subculture it could be easy for the participants in this group to judge all African-American females about how we choose to deal with or handle pregnancy among our race and age group, but being who I am I know that I was not raised to think that way or to judge others based on race, age, gender, or any other unchangeable factors. So I think that I could still take an objective look into Students for Life, with out having too many assumptions.
